I have begun this blog to help people explore new ways of thinking about God, about how we might better live in this wonderful world and about what life means.  I call this the way of living consistency.  I want to make sure that we consider a consistency between belief and life, along with the two traditional consistencies, the consistency between belief and scripture and the internal consistency within a theological system.  The first questions I want to ask are about how we live.

I am looking for others who would like to join together to explore this third way (see post “The Third Way”).  There is a lot of work to do as we rethink our understanding of the scriptures, our beliefs about God and our beliefs about the world we live in.  And, of course, there is plenty of work to do as we attempt to live our beliefs in our flesh.

There is a wholeness here—all of the ideas are related and connected to each other—but there is no sense of completeness.  The blog is more about process than content.  And you are invited to participate in this process of connecting beliefs and life.  Your voice will help us regrow a theology from the ground up.

So if you are frustrated by the ingrown nature of many belief systems, if you would like to find a way out of the current two-sided debate, if you desire a better resonance of the spirit and the flesh, religion and science, if you are looking for a way to be good rather than right, then this blog should be interesting and helpful to you.
